Sacraments of Initiation

1. Baptism

    • See Baptism tab below for more information.
2. Eucharist
    • The child must be at least 7 years of age on the day receiving the sacrament of First Holy Communion. From that time on begins the obligation of fulfilling the precept of both Penance and Eucharist.
    • Thus, children may receive First Communion and First Confession after 1 year of Religious Education.
    • The full First Holy Communion faith formation is a TWO (2) year program.
    • Catechism registrations for children is now open. For adult Faith Formation please go to R.C.I.A.
3. Confirmation
    • The Bishop of Tucson recommends children receive Confirmation during or after the 8th grade (age 13 at least).
    • Students need to attend at least 1 year of religious education before receiving the sacrament of confirmation.

5. Holy Orders
    • Ordination to the priesthood is always a call and a gift from God. Those who seek priesthood respond generously to God's call using the words of the prophet, "Here I am, send me" (Is 6:8). 6. Reconciliation (Confession)
    • Please see Home Page for confession times. Confessions are also available by requesting an appointment with the priest.
7. Anointing of the Sick
    • For appointment with the priest, please call the office.
